The presence of a magnetic sensor in your phone is necessary for the Magnetometer feature to function. Without a magnetic sensor, this feature will not work.
Bring the app close to any device that you suspect might have a hidden camera, such as a shower, flowerpot, lens-looking part, or changing room mirror.
The app will analyze the magnetic activity around the device. If the magnetic activity resembles that of a camera, the app will beep and raise an alarm to alert you, prompting further investigation.
To determine the sensor position of your phone, hold any camera and move it near the top and bottom of your phone. When the app beeps, you have found the sensor position.
This app also features an Infrared camera detector. Open the infrared detector and scan for white light that appears on the screen but is not visible to the naked eye. This white light indicates the presence of infrared light, which could be emitted by an infrared camera. Your normal camera can also detect it, but our app has an inbuilt feature with a luminescence effect for better detection.
Additionally, here are some helpful techniques to protect yourself from potential exposure to hidden cameras:
If you find a hidden camera, you can easily share its location with friends, enabling them to take precautions when visiting the same place.
If the app crashes while using the Infrared detector, please close other camera apps and try again.
We appreciate your feedback and encourage you to rate our app. For any issues, you can contact us at [email protected].
My phone does not have a magnetic sensor.
This app relies on the magnetic sensor of your Android device to analyze magnetic activity. If your device does not have a magnetic sensor, you can only use the infrared detector feature. Alternatively, you can try using the app on another device that has a magnetic sensor.
The app beeps near metal or electronics.
The app is not designed to detect metals, as they generate weak electromagnetic activity. However, certain types of metals, depending on their length, material, and temperature, may exhibit magnetic activity similar to that of a camera. In such cases, always check for a lens on the suspected object if the app beeps.
What should I do if the app beeps near metal?
Check if there is a lens on the suspected object. If not, then you are secure. However, if you find a lens-like object, there may be a hidden camera present.
The Infrared camera detector is not opening; it shows "not responding."
Please close all other camera apps that are running in the background, as they may interfere with the functioning of the Infrared camera detector.
